Evin and Sully

Another adventure with Grandma!  After a stop at Home Depot, we finally found the road to the most giant windmill in the United States. It is so ginormous, we named him "Sully."  His tower is over 300 feet, and his blades are 180 feet long, weighing in at over 36 tons!  Being up close and personal with this monster was nothing short of amazing!  When we got to the gate of this wind company, the security guard told us we had to leave because it was private property.  I told him we just wanted to sit and look at the giant and how in love Evin was with windmills, because we had been trying to find the road to it for forever.  As we were getting ready to get back into the car, this nice man offered to drive us right up to this monstrosity in his truck, since everyone was gone for Christmas, and the company was closed.  He took us for a short ride, and soon, we were standing right up against the base of it, staring up in awe at its hugeness. The smile on Evin's face was priceless, and the next thing I knew, he was running his little heart out all around it.  Pure joy!
